Venice is the most romantic city in the world, and staying at the five-star Hotel Cipriani is the perfect choice for a beautiful wedding or honeymoon.
The Hotel Cipriani specializes in arranging your wedding exactly as you have dreamed of. Decorations and flowers are what you specify as well as everything from the rehearsal dinner to the reception. The menu can be personalized to your individual taste. Your type of entertainment can be arranged, and even a fireworks display can be provided!
If you stay for your honeymoon, the hotel’s special honeymoon package includes two days and two nights in a luxurious suite where you will find fruit, flowers, and a bottle of champagne upon your arrival. There are also the romantic touches of Egyptian cotton sheets, rose petals covering the bed, music, and perfumed candles. Meals include a full breakfast daily, one lunch for two in the pool restaurant, and one candlelight dinner in the restaurant.
A couples massage in the Casanova Wellness Centre is part of the package as well.
Other “cool” features of the Hotel Cipriani include gardens where you will often find sculpture and works of art. Casanova often held trysts in these gardens! The rooms have spectacular garden or lagoon views, and some suites are butlered. There is an Olympic-size swimming pool.
The terraced Fortuny Restaurant has a formal dress code which requires gentlemen to wear a jacket. Amber mirrors, blown glass in delicate shapes, and precious fabrics are part of the atmosphere.
The Cip’s Club with its international cuisine has a wooden terrace decorated as a private yacht’s deck. It is elegant and yet informal with a casual dress code. You will find original artworks decorating this restaurant.
The Pool Snack Bar offers light snacks and a bar, so you can relax as you overlook the lagoon.
When you want to venture out into Venice, the Grand Canal is the main feature and can be enjoyed with the traditional gondola ride which is a “must” for visitors. That ride usually lasts about 45 to 60 minutes and is rather expensive. The most inexpensive way to travel is to take a vaporetto (public water bus), and you can get a weekly transport ticket that gives unlimited rides throughout Venice. Venice is an island surrounded outside and inside by water and there is no vehicular traffic. You are also able to walk to see many lovely attractions such as the Clock Tower, St. Marks Square, Doge’s Palace, and other unique places.
The Venice Jazz Club is a popular venue with wonderful live jazz music that varies from day to day with the band playing from 9 pm to 11 pm, a friendly staff, and good food. Book a table before you go since this is a very popular place and is small. The 20 euro entrance fee includes your first drink.
You can take a one-hour ferry trip to the island of Mazzorbo followed by a short walk over a wooden bridge to Burano where the Bisol family (wine makers since the 16th century) offer a winery adventure. There is a small hotel with reasonable prices, an ancient vineyard, and wine tastings.
