Weather

At higher elevations, visitors will find cooler temperatures, higher winds and more precipitation.

From June to September, there is very little precipitation and lots of sunshine for playtime at the beach. The breezes are cool, and the humidity is low during these months. October and November are some of the wettest months of the year. For the most part, the weather is still sunny, and there are seven hours of sunshine per year on average. Even though it is wet, sunbathers may still lounge on the beach and get a tan in October. November may be too cold for sunbathing, but fine for strolling along the beach.

Majorca is located South of Spain’s mainland. The island is also north of Africa. The island is close enough to the mainland to enjoy the festivities, but far enough away to maintain an element of privacy and seclusion. This is a popular destination in the Balearic Islands. In fact, it is the second largest island by population and the largest island by area. Palma is the capital of the island and is an autonomous region of the island.

How to Get Around
As stated earlier, there are numerous yachts in the area. Many visitors charter boats while on holiday. Additionally, visitors may also hire a ferry to take them to the island from the mainland. Visitors fly to Palma and take the ferry to the mainland for other activities. From Barcelona, a ferry ride to Majorca may take 8 hours or more. From Catamaran, a ferry ride to Majorca may take 4.5 hours or more.
